Executive dashboard
The Executive dashboard is a one-screen answer to "how healthy is our management system right now". It shows a single health grade from A to E, plus one summary tile per enabled module: risks, CAPA, findings, incidents, audits, training, attestations, vendors, certification, and tasks. Each tile links straight to its register. Use it for management reviews, weekly leadership check-ins, or any time you need the cross-module picture without opening ten pages.
Before you start
- The Executive dashboard is part of the core Dashboard module, so it is always available. It lives at
/dashboard/executive. - You need to be a member of an organization. Any member can view it.
- The page only queries and shows modules that are enabled in Settings > Modules. A disabled module gets no tile and does not affect the grade. To see a fuller picture, enable more modules.
Open the page
- Open Dashboard in the side nav.
- Click the Executive view button. The Executive dashboard opens.
- The header shows your organization name, an "as of" timestamp for the snapshot, the health grade badge, and a Refresh button. Click Dashboard in the header to go back.
- Click Refresh at any time to pull a fresh snapshot.
Read the health grade
The badge shows a letter grade and the underlying IMS health score (0 to 100). The score starts at 100 and takes deductions:
- 5 points per open high-band risk (residual score 15 or more), capped at 25.
- 3 points per overdue CAPA, capped at 20.
- 10 points per open critical incident, capped at 20.
- A flat 15 points when the training completion rate is below 70 percent.
- A flat 10 points when the average PEAR score is below 3 (see Audit analytics).
Grades map to the score: A is 90 or more, B is 75 or more, C is 60 or more, D is 45 or more, and anything lower is E. Modules that are disabled, or that have no rate to measure, contribute no deduction. An organization is not penalized for modules it does not run.
Read the tiles
Tiles render in a fixed order, one per enabled module. Click any tile to open that module's register.
- Risks: open risks bucketed by residual score. High is a score of 15 or more, Medium is 8 to 14, Low is everything else. See Risks.
- CAPA: Open and Overdue counts. Open means every status except closed, rejected, or cancelled. See CAPA.
- Findings: open nonconformities split into Critical, Major, and Minor. See Findings.
- Incidents: Open, Critical open, and Last 30 days (all incidents created in the last 30 days, open or not). See Incidents.
- Audits: Completed this year, Planned / in progress, and Avg PEAR. See Audits.
- Training: Overdue assignments and the Completion rate.
- Attestations: Active campaigns and the Weakest campaign (the lowest completion percentage among active campaigns).
- Vendors: Critical tier (active) vendors and Overdue reviews.
- Certification: the Next visit type (for example Stage 1, Surveillance 1, Recertification) and its Planned date.
- Tasks: Open and Overdue counts from the Task Center.
Read the attention chips
A tile that needs action shows a small colored chip under its title, for example "3 high", "2 overdue", "1 critical", "PEAR below 3", "Completion below 70%", "Campaign below 50%", or "4 reviews due". Red chips mark the severe cases (high risks, overdue CAPAs, critical incidents, critical findings); magenta chips mark the softer warnings. A tile with no chip has nothing urgent.
Try it
- Open Dashboard and click Executive view. Expected: the Executive dashboard loads with a grade badge and a grid of tiles.
- Count the tiles against Settings > Modules. Expected: exactly one tile per enabled module from the list above; disabled modules have no tile.
- With a clean workspace (no overdue CAPAs, no high risks, no critical incidents), check the badge. Expected: grade A with a score of 100 or close to it.
- Create a CAPA with a due date in the past (see CAPA), come back, and click Refresh. Expected: the CAPA tile shows 1 Overdue with a red "1 overdue" chip, and the score drops by 3.
- Report a critical incident and leave it open (see Incidents), then Refresh. Expected: the Incidents tile shows 1 Critical open with a red chip, and the score drops by 10 more.
- Click the CAPA tile. Expected: you land on the CAPA board.
- Disable a non-core module such as Complaints or Vendors in Settings > Modules, then Refresh. Expected: its tile disappears and the grade recalculates without it.
- Check the "as of" timestamp, click Refresh, and check again. Expected: the timestamp updates to now.
If something goes wrong
- The Executive view button is missing: it lives on the main Dashboard page header. The Dashboard module is core and always on, so if you cannot see it, make sure you are signed in to an organization and on
/dashboard. - "No modules to summarize" message: none of the summarized modules are enabled. An admin can enable modules in Settings > Modules.
- A tile shows "Unavailable": the module is enabled but its data query failed for this snapshot. Click Refresh. If it persists, the underlying table may be missing or your access may have changed; ask an admin.
- A module you use has no tile: only these modules are summarized: risk, CAPA, findings, incidents, audits, training, attestations, vendors, certification, and tasks. Other modules (documents, processes, and so on) are not part of this view.
- The grade looks too harsh or too generous: check the deduction list above. The score only reacts to high risks, overdue CAPAs, open critical incidents, training completion below 70 percent, and average PEAR below 3. Everything else is informational.
- Avg PEAR or Completion rate shows a placeholder: no audit has a PEAR score yet, or there are no active training assignments. Missing rates take no deduction.
- Numbers look stale: the page is a snapshot, not live. Click Refresh to requery.
